Bienchen – Compact RC Sport Model for Beginners – Laser-Cut DXF Plans

This is a small radio-controlled sport model airplane made entirely from balsa sheet, designed with beginners in mind.
The “Bienchen” (which means “little bee” in German) has been adapted for CNC laser cutting, making it ideal for first-time builders who want an easy-to-assemble, lightweight aircraft.

Originally created by Jaromir Pipek, the Bienchen is perfect for quick outings – on vacation, during a picnic, or on a small meadow. It fits easily in your car, can be hand-launched, and doesn’t require much space to land.

The Bienchen was designed to explore how compact an RC model can be without compromising ease of flight. The key is to keep the weight low – not just for the airframe, but also for the RC components.

With its simple construction, lightweight design, and beginner-friendly handling, the Bienchen is a great introduction to RC flying and a perfect candidate for CNC laser cutting projects.
